However, I think it's important to focus on the positives we do attain such as the increased energy levels and the numbers going in the right direction on the scale.

Whilst it can demotivate you when you don't hit your expected goal, it can also motivate you to come back and lose even more weight next time.

I think it all comes down to perspective, and how you as an individual see things :)Joannehttp://doesgreencoffeebeanextracthelp.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449641905298601952.post-33586142950242404072013-03-31T16:54:26.397-07:002013-03-31T16:54:26.397-07:00It is hard when recovery is not as clearly define...It is hard when recovery is not as clearly defined as numbers on a scale... and it is hard when our body's natural healthy weight isn't what we'd hoped ( thanks to a culture that idolizes one body type and one body type only). And quite honestly at first it sucks. But when we take a step of faith and decide to start listening to our bodies anyway, baby steps start to take us farther than we ever thought was possible. Not only do we start to see that we feel healthier physically, we also start to see our souls and minds become healthy. And eventually, we start to look around and realize that we not only overcame a disordered relationship with food, we also developed a healthy relationship with food, our bodies, and ourselves. But what really makes it all worth it is when you get to the point where you are able to help others get to where you are! So if you are still not sure if you are ready to take the leap and commit to forming a healthy relationship with food, remember that it will be hellish for a little while, but it will eventually take you out of the equally dreadful place you are struck in. It's not easy, but it's oh so worth it!Elisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16892169242693296001noreply@blogger.com
