Finding your voice is so important with feeling better about yourself, but at the same time feeling better about yourself is so important with finding your voice. And eating definitely helps with easing the anxiety that makes you feel like your opinions don't matter when they do.
xCate
PS: and nooooo, my mind never wanders in church either ;-)Catehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13738366255343185057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449641905298601952.post-3324693758216768342011-10-01T13:16:30.876-07:002011-10-01T13:16:30.876-07:00@ EmilyH I took a photo of the picture in a B&...@ EmilyH I took a photo of the picture in a B&B I stayed at; unfortunately I don't know the artist, but I, too, was moved by it.
@ Anonymous You are not the only one who has contacted me around this issue. Often there is dissatisfaction of the response of others after you've finally managed to find your voice.
Finding your voice is the first step. But your actions need to back your words. Saying you are interested in recovery, but taking steps which show otherwise will lead others, including your team, to want to step in and keep you safe.
Similarly, after a lifetime of not having a voice, we are often disappointed that our family/friends fail to hear it when we finally speak up! Again, action must match your words, and others may require some very clear messages to finally respect what you have to say. Yes, it's frustrating, but don't lose sight of the benefits you do experience when you start to express yourself.HikerRDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15170145903147301280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449641905298601952.post-80252347741572618582011-10-01T12:57:51.026-07:002011-10-01T12:57:51.026-07:00how does one earn respect, the knowing that recover...how does one earn respect, the knowing that recovery is well intended, that one is trying so hard to be at a healthy place and to be assumed that is not the intent?how does one voice his/her victories and to be trusted again in everyday life?yes recovery is the main focus but to have the doubt by medical professions where does one turn?
once again,an invigorating blog!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1449641905298601952.post-79799706965591083022011-10-01T12:49:39.656-07:002011-10-01T12:49:39.656-07:00Thank you for sharing that.
